Common Questions

Frequently Asked

My child has never touched a horse. Is that okay? +
Absolutely — in fact, that's exactly who this camp is designed for. Week 1 is entirely educational. No one mounts a horse until Day 5, and even then it's a gentle lead-around. We build from the ground up, and every camper learns at their own pace.
How do I register? +
Contact us by email or phone to reserve your camper's spot in a session. Once you have a session confirmed, complete the online waiver to hold your registration. Sessions are limited to 10 campers each and fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
What if we can't find boots or the right gear? +
We never want gear to be a barrier to camp. Reach out to us at info@rysdonranchcamp.com before your session starts and we will help figure something out together.
Can my child bring their phone? +
Cell phones are not permitted during camp hours. If your child must bring a phone, it must stay in their backpack. We have a designated charging station available if needed.
What happens on Graduation Day? +
Day 10 is the biggest day of camp. Campers compete in the Roping Rodeo, do a show-ready groom of their horse, ride in the Mini Showcase arena (one at a time, with their buddy narrating), and finish with a full Graduation Ceremony with awards, speeches, and certificates. Every camper is recognized. Every camper goes home proud.
